DMX started rapping in the middle of the 1990s. In May 1998, he recorded his debut album, It's DARK and HELL IS HOT. DMX released other albums like... and There Was X as well as the Great Depression Year of the Dog... Redemption of the Beast, Grand Champ. The album ... And Then There Was X was nominated for a Grammy in the Best Rap Album category in 2001. He has also appeared in movies such as Lords of the Street Belly Top Five, Exit Wounds The Bleeding Romeo to Die Backstage beyond the Law Lockjaw and Fast and Fierce Death Race.
